HI EVERYBODY!

As you know, every year I have at least 2 adventures in the world (since I started this blog) but with this pandemic I have had to change all my plans. But here we go…

Do you remember that on October 5th I posted an image that said something about a new adventure? But at this time nothing was sure, I posted the image just when I finished my apply for that.

I'm so excited to communicate that on October 5th I applied for the London marathon and last week I received an answer: I was selected and I will be in this magnificent event. I've already paid 125 pounds, so, yes I would have the opportunity to run my first marathon!

London is one of the most visited cities in the world, no matter what you are interested in, there will be something for you!

As mexicans we just need our Passport, a “Landing card” (this document the airline will give to you and you have to fill it with personal information), a justification about our travel and show that we have money to be there, a document with information about our check in/ check out or an invitation card that have to include the address where you are going to stay and the most recently request is a negative covid pcr test certificate.

The 41st edition of the London Marathon will take place on Sunday October 3rd 2021 so my plan is: buy my plane ticket to take off on Friday September 24th and I will stay in London for sixteen days, the first eight days I won't visit all the touristics places, I just want to take a walk around the appartement`s streets that I'm going to rent and see how it`s the best way to move in the city (yes i`m going to investigate all this before I go there but I have to confirm or ask somebody) and the last days I will visit all the touristic places that I could, well October 3rd I'm going to participate in the marathon and the next day will be for recovery.

I had been investigating the weather in London because I think this is a very important factor. London's weather is changeable and fall is not the best season to visit because storms and sudden changes in temperature are very frequent, but well, I can't change the date and the thing that I can do is preparate all for this.

During my last six days I want to visit “the must” places in London, one adventage to be in London in fall is that there is no many tourist as summer, the first that I want to visit is the iconic London eye, then Westminster and the world-famous Big Ben, cross the Thames by a cruise, visit Theatreland, walk along Oxford and Bond street, visit St Paul’s Cathedral and The Shard (that offers great views of the city), visit Buckingham Palace and see the world-famous Changing of the Guard, visit Platform 9 ¾ in King’s Cross railway station. Another thing that I want to do is visit Hyde Park. I know that in London there are lots of parks but I read that this one is the most famous and I saw many photos of it on Instagram, I love it!...

Would you recommend me another guys? Let me know if I lose a “must” place please!

I'm sure that this won't be easy for all the training that I will need but in the end the adventure will be great!

As you know (because my stories and posts on instagram haha) I`m runner. I have been in half marathon in CDMX two times, never been in a marathon but I have been training for one, any way in the official page of the marathon (www.virginmoneylondonmarathon.com) there is a Training Hub where I can find a plan accord to my abilities, it give me tips and advices on nutrition, and all I will need, for example how to be happy and healthy while I prepare to take part in this marathon. On the Hub I can find articles that explain how food and drinks can boost the training and performance on Marathon Day, how much to drink during a marathon and others tips from sports scientists

This Training Hub gives me information from footwear to hats (It is amazing!)The Hub recommended wear footwear from New Balance, I used to wear Adidas but I`m going to change and prove them.

I`m going to follow the beginner training plan, it`s duration is 16 weeks and this plan assumes that I will run three times a week, a run day is followed by a rest day.

I have to prepare for the weather too, because on October in London it is between 16-11 Celsius degrees and storms are common so I was thinking about training without many clothes. But let me see, what do you think about? Do you think it is a good idea?

Well I have to say something that you may already know… The London Marathon is famous too because many runners wear costumes and...to make this adventure a little more great I`m going to wear a Taco costume, why a taco? because I love them and it's a typical mexican food. Wearing this costume will help me with the weather and I'm sure that it will be fun!
